๐จ Zcash NU7 Could Freeze Legacy Sprout Spending! ๐ก๏ธโก
Zcashโs proposed NU7 upgrade would stop new spending from the old Sprout shielded pool.
๐ Sprout is Zcashโs oldest privacy pool
๐ Users may need to migrate funds to newer shielded pools
๐ ๏ธ Goal: simplify maintenance & reduce legacy cryptographic risks
๐ฐ Funds would not be erased or ownership removed
โ ๏ธ The activation date, migration process, and exceptions still depend on final approval and implementation.
๐ This is mainly a network-maintenance and migration change, not a supply change or guaranteed price catalyst.
