They’re both Rollups, so why do some withdrawals to mainnet take a week, while others don’t?
First, what they are: Optimistic Rollups assume that submitted results are correct. During the challenge period, anyone can submit a fraud proof to challenge a result.
How it works: Validity proofs follow the principle of “prove first, then confirm.” Correctness depends on the cryptographic proof itself; the trade-off is that generating proofs requires a lot of computation.
$ARB and $OP use Optimistic Rollups, while $STRK uses a ZK approach.
It’s okay to play it safe—staying in the game matters far more than making a big profit once.
