CME is set to launch Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Uniswap (UNI) futures on October 19, 2026, with standard and micro contracts launching together: BCH contracts will be sized at 250 and 25 coins, and UNI contracts at 10,000 and 1,000 coins. After the launch, CME will offer 11 single-asset crypto futures, alongside existing contracts for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and others.
Earlier this year, the Cardano, Chainlink, Stellar, Avalanche, and Sui futures in the same series recorded more than $1 billion in notional trading volume. Giovanni Vicioso, CME’s global head of cryptocurrency products, said the market needs a broader range of regulated tools to manage price risk. BCH and UNI are available for spot trading on Binance; around October 19, BCH was trading near $279 and UNI near $7.40.
The launch of futures contracts does not mean spot prices will immediately surge, nor does it guarantee large trading volumes right away. Manage your positions carefully.
