๐Ÿšจ Qubic hacked: 2.94 trillion QU stolen, network halted!

In less than two hours, an attacker drained 1,404 Qubic wallets, stealing around 2.94 trillion QU (approximately $1.3 million).

The cause was an error in wallet secret key generation: insufficient randomness allowed the attacker to access the funds.

โž– 87.1% of the stolen QU remained on the network and was locked after transactions were halted.
โž– 12.9% was transferred to MEXC, where the exchange froze the recipientโ€™s account.
โž– Qubic halted the network at block 85,371,949. Several exchanges also suspended QUBIC deposits and withdrawals.
โž– The vulnerability was fixed in version 4.26.4. According to the developers, the blockchain protocol itself was not hacked.
