Both are major public blockchains, but what exactly sets Bitcoin and Ethereum apart?
First, the basics: Bitcoin produces a block roughly every 10 minutes, while Ethereum schedules blocks in 12-second slots.
The underlying logic: Bitcoin places greater emphasis on simple rules and network stability, so upgrades are very conservative. Ethereum prioritizes programmability and ecosystem growth, so its protocol is upgraded more frequently.
$BTC and $ETH are the native coins of Bitcoin and Ethereum, respectively, and they serve different purposes.
