According to Jin10, citing Turkey’s Anadolu Agency, the U.S. Embassy in the United Arab Emirates issued a security alert urging U.S. citizens in the Middle East to remain highly vigilant amid a complex security environment. The embassy warned of possible flight cancellations, airspace closures and travel disruptions, and said Iranian-backed Houthi forces in Yemen had attacked Saudi Arabia, including civilian airports and other critical infrastructure, causing civilian casualties and major transportation disruptions. The statement said hostilities could escalate rapidly and spread beyond the region. The embassy urged U.S. citizens traveling to or from the Middle East to monitor airport and airline operations closely and prepare contingency plans.
