Are positions changing hands quickly?
“A whale closed a $110 million BTC long position, then opened a $45.8 million long position in U.S. stocks.”
When news like this breaks, I ask three questions about the money flow:
1. Are aggressive buyers or sellers in control?
2. Has trading volume for $BTC ($848 million over 24 hours) increased noticeably?
3. Have any large amounts been transferred on-chain to trading platforms?
If all three point in the same direction, then the news carries real weight; otherwise, it’s mostly market sentiment fluctuating.
The more buzz a story gets, the more reason there is to wait and see where the money flows.
