Why do a token’s total supply, annual issuance, and who holds the biggest share matter?
Here’s how I understand it: Token unlocks increase the supply available on the market. If demand doesn’t grow alongside it, the price can come under pressure.
Ethereum has no fixed maximum supply. Validator rewards create new issuance, while the base fees burned under EIP-1559 reduce the supply somewhat.
My approach: Don’t look only at the unit price. A low unit price doesn’t mean a low valuation—you need to consider the circulating supply too.
$ETH has no fixed maximum supply, but some transaction fees are burned, so its supply changes according to on-chain activity. Current price: 2406.85.
