CME’s BCH and UNI futures officially launch today.

The bullish news is here, and the price action has played out.
After the announcement on September 22, BCH surged from $270 to $328, then touched $340.83 the next day—a gain of nearly 30%.
UNI also rose 15% that day, touching $10.58.
And now? BCH is back at $265, even cheaper than before the news; UNI is back at $6.85, down 30% from its high.

Many people only see the bullish side: “institutions are getting involved.”
But there’s another side: regulated futures are also a tool institutions can use to hedge short positions. Starting today, bears have a real instrument at their disposal.
Trading volume and open interest in the first week will tell us whether institutions are here to buy or short.

I think this is a textbook case of selling the news. In the short term, I’d watch and avoid chasing or buying the dip.
Invalidation: If BCH gets back above $340 and UNI recovers to $9 within a week, this thesis is invalidated—it would mean the market is pricing in genuine institutional demand.

Do you think this is a long-term bullish development and the market is overselling it for now, or a classic buy the rumor, sell the news setup—with more downside ahead?
