Only after seeing El Salvador’s 7,800 BTC did I understand what it means to take the simple, boring approach

The steadiest way to make money is often the simplest—and most boring. There’s a guy who’s been trading crypto for 10 years. He’s 35 now; he got on board at 25, and from 2020 to 2022 he grew his account to eight figures. When he left, he left us with just one line. I couldn’t agree more. These past couple of days, the market has made the answer crystal clear.

First, BTC. El Salvador’s holdings have topped 7,800 coins. Since 2021, the country has stuck with this strategy: buy, hold, and don’t overcomplicate things. That’s the simple approach taken to a national level. And it’s precisely this most boring of moves that has outperformed nine out of ten people constantly trading in and out over the years.

Now let’s look at smart money. Fidelity put out a report a couple of days ago saying Solana’s network is getting stronger, while also plainly noting that concentration risk still needs watching. So what happened? The assessment improved, but SOL’s price is still stuck at 101.4. Institutional praise can’t keep up with capital constantly shifting positions. Same story with BNB: sitting at 709, while the entire ecosystem-token sector has yet to find its rhythm.

I have just one take: the second half isn’t for money that jumps ship. The market keeps voting for the coin people hold onto the tightest. The more stubborn the approach, the stronger the foundation. There’s nothing wrong with sitting tight—the danger is sitting tight in the wrong coin. Let’s check back in a few days and see: can SOL get above 103, and can El Salvador’s holdings break 8,000?
