U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs saw approximately $909.7 million in net outflows over two weeks. Outflows totaled $681.1 million the week before and $228.6 million in the most recent week.

October started with $293 million in net inflows. The month-to-date total has since flipped to about $615 million in net outflows. $729 million was pulled out during the first two trading days of October.

Flows swung back and forth during the most recent week. There was a net inflow of $175.7 million on Tuesday, a net outflow of $261.4 million on Wednesday, and a modest inflow of just $5.1 million on Thursday.

On Friday, Bitcoin was trading around $81,590. The average purchase cost for ETF investors was about $82,300, putting the price below their cost basis.

U.S. inflation rose 3.7% year over year in September, above the 3.6% expected. Bond yields climbed, increasing the opportunity cost of holding Bitcoin. For crypto, a break below the cost basis can amplify redemption pressure.

Since their launch in January 2024, the ETFs have seen approximately $57.3 billion in cumulative net inflows. Total assets are close to $104 billion. Do you think October will swing back to net inflows? Share your thoughts in the comments.
