In 2026, the United States became a net destination for Bitcoin inflows again. The last time it saw net inflows was in 2022. The figures cover the 12 months through July 1.

Transfers of more than $10 million each brought in a net 53,200 BTC. Smaller transfers under $10,000, by contrast, saw net outflows. Flows moved in opposite directions across transfer-size tiers.

Since spot ETFs launched in January 2024, the U.S. share has risen quarter by quarter. Service inflows, exchange trading volumes, and cross-border net receipts have all climbed in tandem.

Dollar stablecoins have taken a different path. Their share in the U.S. is lower than overseas, yet they account for 99.1% of stablecoin order-book trading volume.

Issuers hold a large portion of their reserves in short-term U.S. Treasuries. This links overseas access to dollars with demand for government bonds. For crypto, net inflows affect spot-market depth and the pace of creations and redemptions.

BlackRock’s Will Su says demand remains strong. Bitcoin is being treated as a substitute for money. Global government debt and spending are both at record highs. Do you think this wave of net inflows can last through year-end? Share your thoughts in the comments.
