#cysic桥被铸出一千万枚

Cysic’s cross-chain bridge was exploited and has been shut down.
On October 17, an attacker minted tokens out of thin air on the BNB Chain.
10 million CYS were minted without any assets being transferred in as backing.

The minting was recorded at 12:31:38 UTC.
The address was blacklisted at 13:47:52 UTC, 76 minutes later.
2.8 million tokens remain in a frozen wallet, accounting for 28%.
7.2 million tokens, or about 72%, have already been transferred out.

On-chain tracking shows that the sell-off was exchanged for 306.6 ETH.
The funds ended up on Ethereum, worth about $727,000.
The foundation says the flow of funds has not yet been verified.

The root cause was unauthorized access to the bridge database.
The attacker used it to submit forged minting instructions.
Mainnet block production continued normally, and user assets were unaffected.

10 million tokens equal 1% of the total supply of 1 billion.
An external security firm has begun reviewing access records.
The bridge has not given a restart date.

Officials warn users to watch out for fake compensation links.
For crypto, the new issuance has brought the bridge’s trust issues back into focus.
Cross-chain assets need to be reassessed for risk premiums.
