Super Representatives:
what is their role?
TRON uses Delegated Proof of Stake, in which TRX stakers can use TRON Power to vote for Super Representatives (SRs).
The 27 elected SRs in the active set produce blocks and participate in on-chain governance. Candidates outside the active 27 can have other roles in the wider ranking system, so “candidate”, “partner”, and active block producer should not be treated as identical labels.
Voting is more than clicking a name. It is a way for stakers to influence which operators participate in block production. SRs also have operational responsibilities: running infrastructure, maintaining reliable availability, and following network rules.
Before voting, check the candidate’s published information, technical track record, transparency, and stated approach to governance. Also understand how voting can be changed and how unstaking affects voting power.
The key lesson: consensus infrastructure is operated by identifiable participants, while voting is one mechanism through which token holders influence the active set.
