Trader Killa says Bitcoin swept the prior week’s low near $80,000, with longs bearing the brunt, and could turn to targeting shorts next week. According to ChainCatcher, Killa said BTC fell from $87,000 to the $80,000 range last week before rebounding 50%; this week, its price surged on Monday but met persistent resistance before moving below the prior week’s low.
Killa said traders should watch for another sweep of this week’s low at $79,800, which could present a buying opportunity. If Bitcoin does not revisit the low, the $83,600 area will be key: failure to break above it would leave the market in a range-bound capitulation phase, while a successful move above it could lead to an upside breakout. Killa expects next week’s weekly open to push higher and force late short sellers to close positions. In the worst-case scenario for bulls, BTC could dip into the $76,000-$78,000 range. Killa said he does not expect an extreme sweep to $74,000.
