Even if several sell orders locked in a profit from price differences, repeatedly buying and selling $SOL could still result in an overall loss. I’ll include the coins I’m still holding in the calculation.

Between 18:00 and 21:00 Beijing time on October 18, SOL closed around 104 USDT at four consecutive hourly marks. By 22:06, it had fallen to 102.45. If I made a few profitable trades during that period but still had coins left in my hands, losses on the remaining holdings could offset the gains from those trades.

I need to check two figures: the profit or loss on the portion already sold, and the profit or loss on the unsold portion based on its current price versus its purchase cost. Add those together, then subtract any fees not yet included, and that gives the overall profit or loss for this strategy.

So I won’t increase my investment just because a few sell orders were profitable. Only after including the coins I haven’t sold will I know whether this buy-low, sell-high strategy actually made money in this market.
