Binance futures liquidations over the past 4 hours totaled $13.38 million: $11.73 million in long positions (87.6%) and $1.66 million in short positions.
After a liquidation event, I usually look at three things:
① Who got shaken out: mostly longs, meaning a batch of leveraged bullish positions was flushed out;
② The largest was $ETH ($3.54 million); volatility in its aftermath is usually the highest;
③ Whether open interest fell along with it: a drop means positions were genuinely flushed out; no drop means new leverage is piling in.
In the futures market, controlling drawdowns matters more than making quick money.
This is not investment advice. Make your own trading decisions.
