The ATR percentage sets $BTC and $ETH apart: 2.52% versus 3.81%. Both are ranging, but ETH’s intraday range is half again as wide as BTC’s. Its 1d Bollinger %B is only 0.19, with price hugging the lower band. With volatility still this high, the lower band could give way at any moment.

BTC’s 1d %B is 0.25 and its 4h %B is 0.55—not nearly as extreme. Funding rates are 0.0100% versus 0.0076%; both are still positive, so longs are paying. But ETH’s long/short account ratio is 2.90—nearly three longs for every short—while the price is falling.

I’m watching just one condition: a break below 2,323 would confirm that ETH’s lower band has failed, putting 2,221 in view. Until BTC holds 80,393, this range-bound move isn’t over.
