Over the past 7 days, centralized exchanges (CEXs, where trades are matched on a platform) saw net Bitcoin inflows of about 8,237 BTC. According to data from Coinglass cited by PANews and ChainCatcher on October 18, Binance alone recorded inflows of about 6,463.61 $BTC , accounting for nearly 80% of the market’s net inflows. Over the same period, OKX saw inflows of about 2,089.15 BTC, while Coinbase Pro recorded net outflows of about 1,399.39 BTC.
Simply put, more Bitcoin was transferred into exchange accounts this week, with inflows heavily concentrated on Binance. Net inflows do not necessarily mean an immediate sell-off; they may also reflect portfolio adjustments, settlements, or transfers related to derivatives. But when supply builds up on trading platforms, whether short-term selling pressure will emerge usually depends on whether subsequent inflows slow down.
