⚡️ Is Starknet preparing to leave Ethereum? 99.95% of votes are in favor!
Holders of #STRK support exploring a move for Starknet from Ethereum’s L2 network to an independent, post-quantum layer-one (L1) blockchain.
The reason is quantum security. Starknet currently depends on Ethereum for bridge security and data availability. Its own L1 would allow it to develop protection against quantum computers independently of Ethereum.
❗️The move has not been approved yet. The vote is only about starting research. STRK will remain the main token, and no new token is planned.
Voting ends on October 22. The 99.95% figure reflects the share of votes by STRK weight, not the percentage of all holders.
