Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) went outside and saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prostrating in a narrow passage. So he moved aside and sat behind him until the Noble Prophet ﷺ raised his blessed head from prostration.
He ﷺ said:
“O Umar! You did very well to move aside when you saw me prostrating. Indeed, Gabriel (peace be upon him) came to me and said: ‘Whoever sends blessings upon me once, Allah Most High bestows ten mercies upon him and raises him by ten degrees.’”
