Crypto is one of the riskiest asset classes. We don’t even know what will happen to $BTC and $ETH. Essentially, they’re code, an idea, and a team—and nobody knows what will happen in 5–10 years. A coin exists today and could be gone tomorrow. Drops of 70–90% in a day are not uncommon. Think of LUNA, altcoins, or OM—projects disappear, and it has no impact on the global economy. 👉 This is a speculative market with enormous risks. If all your capital is in crypto, it’s roulette. Markets rarely fall at the same time: some are losing while others are rising. If you’re only invested in crypto, you can only watch your portfolio drop. If you spread your capital across different assets, you have more opportunities to make money. A stock is a share in a real business, with legal protections. You own part of a company. There are two ways to earn: price appreciation and dividends. Crypto doesn’t have traditional dividends.
Stocks are protected by law, officially registered, and can be passed on as inheritance. With crypto, if it’s stolen, it’s gone; if the project dies, it’s gone. And there’s more fraud because of the anonymity.
For example, Warren Buffett and other major investors bet on stocks because they represent functioning businesses and offer the potential for long-term growth.
Crypto can generate high returns, but the risks are enormous. It shouldn’t make up 100% of your capital. It’s wiser to diversify: stocks, crypto, and other assets. That way, you’ll have more opportunities for growth and be less dependent on a single market.
