A few things to remember about block confirmations:
1) Bitcoin produces a block about every 10 minutes, so the commonly cited 6 confirmations take roughly an hour.
2) A transaction gets 1 confirmation when it is included in a block. Each subsequent block adds 1 confirmation.
3) If your deposit is taking a while to arrive, try looking up the transaction hash in a block explorer to see how many confirmations it has.
