Vitalik just dropped a banger take:

$BTC mining = 50% hardware / 50% electricity
AI inference = basically ALL hardware capex

So why does everyone screech about Bitcoin's energy use but gives AI a free pass?

AI is scaling HARD right now. Data centers are getting built everywhere. Power grids are getting stressed.

But somehow the narrative is still "Bitcoin bad, AI good."

Double standards much?

The energy FUD on crypto never applied the same logic to AI. Now that AI is eating more power than small countries, maybe it's time to revisit who the real energy hog is.

Just saying.
