Let’s talk about private keys and addresses.
A public key is derived from a private key through elliptic-curve operations. This process is one-way, so deriving the private key from the public key is not feasible in practice.
One thing many people overlook: there is no central authority that can reset your private key. The blockchain only recognizes valid signatures, and anyone who obtains your private key can access the assets at the corresponding address.
Avoid exporting your private key whenever possible. If you do need to back it up, don’t paste it into a note-taking app that’s connected to the internet.
