ETH is being quietly liquidated by institutions.
U.S. spot ETH ETFs have seen net outflows for 9 consecutive trading days since September 29.
Cumulative outflows are about $700 million.
The week of October 12–16 was the worst: ETH funds saw $320 million in outflows in a single week, with BlackRock’s ETHA alone accounting for $299 million.
On the price front, ETH slid from around 2,550 to around 2,410 this week, plunging to an intraday low of 2,321 on October 15.
Money is moving ahead of price, while price is still holding firm. With this kind of setup, I generally don’t rush to make a move.
In my view, until ETF outflows stop, ETH can only bounce, not reverse its trend. Staying on the sidelines is the best approach.
