👀 15 hours ago, Turkey’s justice minister personally weighed in with an official stamp: HEX founder Richard Heart really has been detained in Istanbul

This time it’s not some rumor from the Turkish media. It’s an official statement posted on X on Saturday (October 17) by Minister Akın Gürlek, who for the first time publicly confirmed the October 14 raid in Beşiktaş.

The minister’s list of seized items is more detailed than a shopping cart:

💵 About $7.15 million in cash + 160,000 Turkish lira; 🔐 6 crypto cold wallets (the authorities say they’re still investigating how much crypto is in them)
👜 300 bags, 100 pairs of shoes, 136 pairs of glasses, 28 watches, 97 pieces of jewelry; 📱 29 phones, 12 laptops, 11 desktop computers, 19 hard drives, 46 USB drives, 19 graphics cards; 🔫 7 firearms, 1,400 rounds of ammunition, and 9 luxury cars registered to his wife were also seized
👥 Five people were rounded up: Heart himself, his wife, and 3 bodyguards; 15 properties were searched in a joint operation by the police intelligence department, the financial crimes unit, and the National Intelligence Organization (MİT).

Some background: He’s a U.S. citizen and is subject to an Interpol Red Notice requested by Finland; the case brought against him by the U.S. SEC in 2023 was dismissed by a judge in February 2025.
The minister’s words, translated, basically mean: Don’t treat Turkey as a lawless place to hide.

As for prices: HEX was at $0.0005895 at the time of publication (live data from CoinGecko), down 7.1% over 24 hours; at the same time, $BTC 81,565 (-0.68%), $ETH 2,404.5 (-1.13%), and $SOL 103.06 (-1.77%)—the broader market was seeing modest fluctuations.

Can Turkish authorities access the crypto in those 6 cold wallets? Let’s discuss in the comments 👇
