🏦 What if your bank sold you $BTC in the same app you use for transfers? In Bulgaria, it’s planned for early 2027. What would it really change?

📌 The facts (Postbank, announcement of Oct. 15, 2026)
• Postbank (Eurobank Bulgaria), the country’s 4th-largest bank, will integrate investing into its app: international stocks, ETFs, crypto, commodities, and gold
• You’ll be able to buy with small amounts, in fractions
• The service will be provided by a major international platform… whose name hasn’t been revealed yet
• Over 9 months, in-app payments: +47% in number, +71% in volume; active users +32%
• In early October, another Bulgarian bank, Fibank, did the same with Bitpanda

🧠 How it works
The bank doesn’t become an exchange. It provides the trust and the app you already open 20 times a month. An approved platform (under the European MiCA rules) handles the rest: buying, custody, compliance. This is “white labeling.”

⚖️ The caveats
• No information has been published about the coins, fees, or partner
• Crypto holdings are not deposits: they aren’t covered by deposit insurance
• Simple doesn’t mean risk-free: the price could drop 30% in a month

👤 Moussa, a mechanic in Abidjan, manages everything from his phone. The day his app offers crypto, the real question won’t be “Is it easy?” but “How much will I pay in total, and who holds my coins?”

✅ Before buying anywhere: check the total fees, custody, and whether you can withdraw.

Would you buy through your bank or mobile money app, or stick with an exchange? 👇
