From 7:00 to 14:00 today, $ETH rebounded more than $BTC , even though ETH was still down on the 24-hour market display.

Based on the hourly closing prices at these two full-hour marks on October 18, Beijing time, ETH rose about 0.76%, while BTC rose about 0.47%. Both pulled back in the afternoon, but as of 14:00, ETH had retained more of its gains.

The market display showed BTC up and ETH down because it compares the previous 24 hours, including earlier price movements. Using the red and green figures there to pick “who was stronger this morning” confuses the starting points of the comparison. For the same market period, the two coins should be compared over the same time frame.

My view is that ETH was relatively stronger during this period, and is worth watching. This assessment covers only the rebound that has already occurred; it does not mean ETH will continue to outperform BTC.
