Why is it so hard to make consistent profits? ❓

I say that trading under pressure makes it hard to trade well—you end up with lots of small wins and big losses. A lot of people will argue that I'm just making excuses for being bad at it. Maybe my skills really are terrible, but not so terrible that I can't make a profit. More than a year has gone by with wins and losses; my debt has gone down, but my balance still hasn't grown 😓

Why can't I seem to make it work? I realized the most fatal reason is that I'm in a hurry to make money. And there's only one reason for that: I need money urgently ❗ A lot of people assume my losses are from using a Martingale strategy, but that's not actually the case. I won't go into it any further here.

Let me talk about these screenshots. The first one is a chat with a university student who's since graduated. She previously gave me money to trade on her behalf and received a share of the profits for nearly half a year. Then her principal got liquidated. I'd promised to cover any losses to her principal, but later I didn't have the money to pay her back. She kept asking me for money every few days, and I was at a loss, so I came up with this idea: I asked her to register an account. Once she'd verified her identity, I'd deposit 50U into it and trade with that little by little. Once it reached the amount of her original principal, she could withdraw it and we'd be done.

That led to the profits you see later. There were drawdowns along the way, but I kept the position size small. I didn't watch it constantly either—I only placed a few trades now and then, whenever I had some time, and kept the positions small. That 50U grew to nearly 400U. It took more than three months to make around 350U.

What I'm trying to say is that you really can make consistent profits with small positions. If I traded my own account that lightly, I definitely wouldn't lose money.

But if I traded my own account that lightly and made 350U in three months, I might have starved to death by now ❗ So sometimes I have no choice but to trade big 😂 I really, really want to take it slow with small positions and just make steady profits, but I have to set targets to cover my basic living expenses...

I can't compare myself to all the experts on the plaza. Plenty of people double their principal with big positions, but I can't do it. Whenever I trade big, I get liquidated 😭😭😭
