2/13, market breadth is only 15.4%—this market just feels frustrating.

$BTC 81,915 is up a slight 0.46% over 24h, but trading volume is only 611.1M; $ETH 2,422 is down a slight 0.24%, with trading volume at 320.3M. There’s barely any volume, and everything is moving cautiously. This kind of tight-range trading is the most grueling; anyone holding a position must feel like they’re on pins and needles.

The derivatives market looks even more striking: the long/short position ratio for $BTC is 1.72, and for $ETH it’s as high as 3.04, with long positions heavily stacked. The funding rate is +0.0086%, and open interest is slightly down 0.16% over 1h. This suggests the bulls are still holding on, but nobody dares to add to their positions. The bears don’t have much ammo either—a classic case of both sides waiting for the other to make the first move.

I’m staying on the sidelines, with a slight bearish bias. If $BTC breaks below 81,000 on rising volume, I’ll try a small short, targeting the 80,000 area, with a stop-loss above 82,000. If 81,000 doesn’t hold, this view is invalidated, and I’ll exit immediately. Longs are far too crowded right now; if the price breaks down, cascading liquidations could happen fast.

I’ll wait for $BTC to pick a direction before making a move.
