Hartnett from BofA just spoke up, saying the “sell signal” is over and telling everyone to get back into tech stocks in mid-November. When I saw the news, I gripped my mouse and felt a twinge of unease: are we about to start spinning stories again?
Looking back at the market, $BTC is now hovering around 82,000, up a modest 0.48% over the past 24 hours. Market breadth is just 23.1%: only 3 of the 13 major coins are in the green. A classic “zombie market.”
WLD is down 6.28%, while $SUI has fallen nearly 2%. This divergence is hard to watch. The BTC long-short positioning ratio is 1.74, and $ETH is as high as 3.06, yet the funding rate is only 0.0100%. Leverage hasn’t really picked up at these levels, but bullish sentiment feels a bit overheated. It doesn’t look comfortable.
I’m fairly heavily positioned right now, but I’m trimming. That “chip price” variable Hartnett mentioned is a long way from crypto—it’s a macro narrative. I’m not going to guess whether he’s trying to mislead anyone; I only trust the charts. If $BTC can’t break above 82,500 on strong volume, this rebound is most likely a bull trap. If it falls below 81,000, I’ll close out my remaining long positions. A slow decline on shrinking volume is the most painful kind, and I’ve been badly burned before—I don’t want to go through it again.
Whose word is more reliable: Wall Street’s, or the money on-chain?
Just a reference—DYOR.
