Derivatives market watch: two reminders and one reference

For the derivatives market, I only watch positioning crowding—not group chat messages.

I only care about three sets of numbers in derivatives. Everything else is noise.

1. BTC 81844, 24h 80820-81960, change +0.31%.
2. BTC open interest notional: $7.65 billion, 24h -0.22%
3. Account-wide long/short ratio: 1.74

My take: The funding rate is 0.0100%, close to zero, and the long/short ratio is 1.74. Leverage hasn’t picked a side. If it hasn’t picked a side, don’t use high leverage to pick one for it.

Execution zones (based on current price ± structure, not an old chart):
- Momentum zone: Consider chasing only after it gets above 82,499. If it can’t, it’s a false breakout.
- Buy the pullback: 80,862-81,353. Don’t buy if it loses that level.
- No-trade zone: If the 1h candle closes below 80,371, I’m not taking this trade.

My position: I only buy pullbacks; I don’t chase breakouts. If the structure holds, I can keep a core position. Any add-on must wait for the pullback zone.

Data: Binance spot 24h / Binance USDⓈ-M / Yahoo daily (5-day change) / altme_fng / mempool_fees / defillama_chains / coingecko_trending. I don’t fill in missing numbers.
Would you dare add to your position at this funding rate?

Useful info: OI is open interest notional, not trading volume.
Idea: Whales’ long/short ratio is significantly higher than the account-wide ratio: you can follow the direction, but don’t match the full position size.
