· What it is: An off-chain signature includes an expiration time. Before then, whoever has the signature can submit it on-chain at any time.
· How to understand it: Once a permit signature is submitted on-chain, it works just like a regular authorization (approve), allowing the authorized party to transfer tokens up to the approved amount.
· In practice: If an unfamiliar website asks you to sign something to claim an airdrop, it’s best to pause first.
