Keep these points about transaction finality in mind:
1) Chains based on Tendermint (CometBFT) consensus, such as Cosmos Hub, are final as soon as a block is committed; there’s no need to wait for subsequent blocks.
2) Ethereum blocks typically become “finalized” after two epochs (about 12.8 minutes).
3) When receiving a large payment, wait for enough confirmations or for finalization before shipping. Don’t rely solely on seeing that it’s “on-chain.”
On Ethereum, the $ETH staked is the guarantee of finality: overturning a finalized block would result in the loss of a large amount of stake. Currently 2397.78.
