Elon Musk said Tesla’s Optimus robot will one day build Optimus Prime after a Chinese startup unveiled a 13-foot humanoid capable of lifting more than 1,100 pounds. Beijing-based NeodraDynamics’ Neo1, shown at the 2026 China International Industry Fair, stands about 4 meters tall, weighs roughly 1.2 tons and can carry 500 kilograms with its arms, according to BeInCrypto. The company is pitching it for heavy-duty uses, while Tesla’s human-sized Optimus targets factory and household tasks; Musk’s post was a joke. Wedbush analyst Dan Ives expects robotaxis and Optimus to make 2027 a strong year, while Mark Cuban predicts humanoid robots will fail within a decade.
