They say Ethereum is dead, but long-term projections tell a different story
You go on any social network and it seems like $ETH nobody cares anymore: the fees, Solana eating its lunch, the coin not moving...
Basically, the same old story. But if you’ve been in this market for a while, you know that when everyone writes off a giant, that’s exactly when you should look at the cold hard numbers instead of panicking over the comments.
Some very influential people in the ecosystem and institutional firms still maintain that seeing Ethereum at $10,000 or even $15,000 in the long term is no fantasy, and the arguments are pretty simple if you look at them calmly:
1. The infrastructure where real money runs: You may like it more or less, but the vast majority of decentralized finance, institutional tokens, and the biggest stablecoins are still built on Ethereum’s security.
2. The ETF and fund game: Real money doesn’t come in all at once over a weekend. Big investors move slowly, accumulate when nobody’s watching, and think in years. The same thing happened to Bitcoin before its major cycles.
3. The patience test: Just as Davinci said about Bitcoin when it was at rock bottom: the market is designed to bore you and make you let go of your coins before the real takeoff. Those looking to get rich in 15 days get impatient and sell; those who understand what they hold in their portfolio weather the storm.
Ethereum won’t give you a 100x overnight like a meme coin, but writing it off when it remains the backbone of almost the entire ecosystem is underestimating market history.
What do you think? Do you believe $10k is a realistic target for the next few years, or do you think other chains will take its place for good?
