Nine U.S.-listed companies, including CoreWeave, Broadcom and Verizon, have objected to tokenized versions of their shares trading on OKXICE. According to NS3.AI, a timely objection bars the venue from offering a company’s stock token under the SEC’s innovation exemption.

Applied Optoelectronics cited uncertainty about stock prices, liquidity and volatility, as well as the potential for investor confusion. OKXICE said it still plans to launch trading for dozens of U.S.-listed companies. Nasdaq separately said it would opt out of having its shares tokenized under the framework. OKXICE and the nine objecting companies did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
