According to Jin10, the Associated Press reported that U.S. President Donald Trump said at a rally in Kentucky on Saturday that the nearly eight-month-old Iran war would end soon and gasoline prices would then fall below prewar levels. The crowd cheered, and Trump had made similar statements several times before.

Trump also reiterated a widely questioned pledge that every U.S. adult would receive $5,000 if Republicans win control of both chambers of Congress. The plan is expected to cost more than $1 trillion, requires congressional approval, and could further widen the annual budget deficit, which is nearly $1.8 trillion.

Trump also pledged that the Defense Department would invest in reviving a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Kentucky if Republicans win the election.
