Ethereum’s Glamsterdam upgrade is scheduled to activate on the Hoodi test network on October 26, 2026. According to NS3.AI, the upgrade has a 200 million gas target, and Hoodi operators must update their execution and consensus clients before activation.

The actual block gas limit will adjust gradually under existing rules rather than immediately enforce the target. Mainnet activation timing remains undecided, and ETH holders and mainnet operators do not need to take action in response to the Hoodi announcement.
