🇺🇸🇷🇺 Trump has waived huge new tariffs on Russia and its oil buyers, just weeks after signing them into law.
Last month, he signed the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act, a tough new law against Russia.
It called for 500% tariffs on Russian goods, and 100% tariffs on countries buying the most Russian oil and gas.
But Trump's new order waives almost all of it, in the name of national interest.
The new tariffs are gone for now, and so are most of the new sanctions. Existing Russia sanctions under earlier executive orders stay.
Just yesterday, Putin's envoy complained the new law would block U.S.-Russia business deals.
Turns out he had nothing to worry about, at least for now.
