BNB Chain’s zero-fee promotion is still on, but be clear about which part is “free”

BNB Chain’s official announcement on September 1 extended the 0 Fee Carnival until 23:59 UTC on October 31, 2026 (07:59 Beijing time on November 1), covering USDC, USD1, and U. For people who regularly move stablecoins between exchanges and wallets, this kind of subsidy is more tangible than simply hearing that “the ecosystem has been upgraded again.”

But don’t assume this means everything on BNB Chain is free. Withdrawals, wallet transfers, and cross-chain transfers are three different steps, each with its own eligible platforms and conditions. Saving on one fee doesn’t mean the entire process is cost-free.

For wallet transfers, the announcement says that direct transfers on BSC through supported wallets are eligible, with a minimum amount of $0.10. USDC transfers are free twice a day, while USD1 and U have different limits. The key phrase here is “direct transfer”: exchanging stablecoins for other tokens or interacting with a contract isn’t covered by this offer.

The same goes for withdrawals. The promotion’s list distinguishes between assets, networks, and minimum amounts. Seeing USDC listed doesn’t mean you can assume USDT is included too; support on one platform doesn’t mean another platform has the same rules. Before submitting a withdrawal, check the actual fee shown on the current page.

I think what’s really worth watching with promotions like this is whether users stick around after the subsidies end. There’s a reason to keep using the service only if recipients can use it conveniently, transfers arrive reliably, and everyday transactions are hassle-free. Looking only at the number of transfers made during the promotion risks mistaking activity driven by discounts for long-term demand.

Also, fee waivers don’t eliminate the risks of sending funds to the wrong address, choosing the wrong network, stablecoins losing their peg, or using cross-chain services. Taking an unfamiliar, roundabout route to save a small fee may not be worth it.

When you transfer stablecoins, what matters most to you: fees, transfer speed, or how easy it is for the recipient to use the funds?
