Selling pressure from BTC buyers near last year’s peak has eased
Over the past 30 days, around 205,400 $BTC held for 6–12 months has been moved, but only 4.4% was sent to exchanges. Most of these coins were bought near or after the 2025 peak.
The share of BTC sent to exchanges has declined since June:
• By June 17: 40.4%, equivalent to 63,800 BTC.
• By July 17: 30.9%, equivalent to 46,800 BTC.
• By August 16: 9.8%, equivalent to 14,100 BTC.
• By September 15: 3.7%, equivalent to 7,900 BTC.
• By October 15: 4.4%, equivalent to 9,100 BTC.
According to IT Tech, this shows that potential selling pressure on BTC has eased, but a fresh inflow of buying is still needed for the price to break higher—and this signal has yet to emerge clearly.
