Institutional AI’s scythe is sharpened

Andy, the podcaster who called the SEC exemption policy a week early, is making waves again on October 17. He says an institutional-grade, on-chain asset management AI product is coming in the next few days, with built-in risk strategies, and that several funds and asset managers have already signed on for a pilot. Nobody’s seen a hint of the product, but the news has already made the rounds. Not a single institutional name has been revealed, yet expectations are already through the roof.

Wrapping institutional asset management in an AI risk-control shell doesn’t change the distribution of on-chain holdings, and market-maker depth is still controlled by the same players. In the short term, the AI narrative and the ETH and SOL ecosystems may rally on the news, but if volume doesn’t follow through, the price will spike and then pull back—with the big players conveniently dumping their bags on anyone chasing the pump.

Anyone holding AI-themed coins: what’s your cost basis? Drop a number so we can see if there’s still room on the rooftop.
