Coinsph said the VASP license held by Betur Inc. and the EMI license held by DCPay Philippines remain valid, and denied providing services to noncompliant offshore betting operators. According to ChainCatcher, citing Philippine crypto outlet BitPinas, the response followed a CoinDesk report that Coinsph risked losing its licenses over alleged involvement in offshore betting transactions.
Coinsph said the Philippine central bank’s restrictions apply only to fiat deposits into DCPay through InstaPay and PESONet; crypto trading, withdrawals, and other payment services continue to operate normally. The company acknowledged that the central bank had asked it to strengthen internal controls and said it is cooperating with the regulator. The central bank declined to comment on specific regulatory matters.
