Strategy plunges nearly 10% in a single day
After stockpiling so much BTC,
has the market really turned its back on it?

Guys,
the publicly traded company best known for hoarding Bitcoin
just took a hit itself this time 😂

On October 16, local time,
Strategy (MSTR) shares plunged about 9.8%,
closing at around $136.50.
One of the triggers
was MSCI's plan to tighten its index inclusion rules.
Companies like Strategy, which hold large amounts of digital assets and operate more like investment funds,
could be dropped from some global stock indexes.

If they are removed,
passive funds tracking those indexes may have to sell their shares.
What the market is worried about
is that wave of forced selling.
MSCI is expected to announce its final list on November 11,
and the new rules will take effect at the end of November.

The most interesting thing about this
is that Strategy holds a huge amount of BTC.
That used to be its biggest draw for investors.
But as the company increasingly resembles a Bitcoin investment vehicle,
traditional index rules could become a problem instead.

Buying BTC and buying MSTR
are really not the same thing.
BTC is driven by its price and market demand.
MSTR also carries the added risks of company valuation, financing structure, share price premiums, and index fund flows.

Guys,
if you're bullish on Bitcoin,
would you buy BTC directly,
or take on these extra risks to buy MSTR?
