I lost 80% of my portfolio in one week.

80%. Not 8, not 18. Eighty percent.

The market wasn't the problem.

Coins weren't the problem.

I was the problem.

And today, after losing, learning, and coming back, I'll share the three mistakes that destroyed me... so they don't destroy you.

The first mistake: "I'll buy when it goes up"

I watched BTC climb from 60K to 65K to 70K.

Every time it went up, I'd say: "I'll get in now."

I finally got in at 73K.

Three days later, the price was back down to 58K.

Lesson: Buying at the top isn't brave—it's stupidity in disguise.

✅ The solution: Buy when everyone is afraid; sell when everyone is greedy.

❌ Mistake #2: "I don't need a Stop Loss"

I trusted my analysis way too much. "The market will bounce back, I'm sure."

I didn't set a Stop Loss on an ETH trade.

It dropped 22% in one day.

Instead of a limited loss (5%), I lost 22%.

📉 Lesson: Confidence without a plan = guaranteed disaster.

✅ The solution: Every trade without a Stop Loss is gambling, not trading.

❌ Mistake #3: "I'll make my losses back quickly"

After the loss, I entered three consecutive trades with the same amount.

"One of them has to work."

All three lost.

I lost what I had left.

Lesson: Taking revenge on the market = the market takes even greater revenge on you.

✅ The solution: After a loss, close the app for 24 hours. No more.

💡 What changed after these losses?

1. I set a rule: I never risk more than 2% of my portfolio on a single trade.

2. Every trade has a predetermined Stop Loss and Take Profit.

3. I never trade when I'm angry or overly excited.

4. I follow the news, but I don't trade based on it.

🎯 The result?

Over the last 6 months:

• 34% portfolio gain

• 0% catastrophic losses

• A good night's sleep every night

The difference between a losing trader and a winning trader isn't intelligence.

The difference is **discipline**.
