Someone asked: What is address poisoning? Why does it fool people?
My answer: Some token contracts accept transfers of 0 tokens. Attackers exploit this to leave a record that looks like a transfer from your address, making it seem as though you sent the tokens yourself. Once an on-chain transfer is confirmed, it can't be reversed. Assets sent to a fake address are basically impossible to recover.
$ETH 2428.68 (-1.81%)
Did anyone else misunderstand this before?
