Fidelity Digital Assets analysis shows that the U.S. 10-year Treasury yield has risen to its highest level since Bitcoin’s inception. Historically, the two have had little correlation, but in 2026 their correlation surpassed 0.6, reaching a record high. Over the past two months, Bitcoin has gained nearly 30%, while 10-year Treasury yields have risen by more than 10%. Fidelity notes that, with U.S. national debt exceeding $40 trillion and interest payments becoming the second-largest budget expense, Bitcoin’s fixed supply and transparent mechanisms are leading it to be viewed as a potential hedge against currency debasement and sovereign debt risk.
