$BTC slid toward $80,000 and ether fell 6%, yet $ZK and $PYTH climbed Thursday’s selloff pushed liquidations near $1 billion. ZK still rose 12.5% and PYTH 5.6%. $ZK trigger is a speed record. ZKsync says its Airbender Prime proved 99% of 7,200 consecutive Ethereum blocks in under 10 seconds on one GPU, and Vitalik Buterin said the battle for proving speed is “definitively won.” But it’s a ZKsync tool, not an Ethereum upgrade, and it leaves ETH’s supply, fees and staking rewards unchanged. ZKsync also teased an announcement for October 21, a date to trade into. $PYTH trigger is cash flow. Its DAO now sends 100% of the revenue it receives from Pyth Pro, data listings and indices into monthly PYTH buybacks, with annualized revenue at $11.49 million, up 86.5% in a quarter. The catch is size: even if the DAO kept every dollar, that’s under $1 million a month, about 1% of the $89 million PYTH traded in a day when the rule was announced. So are the moves real? The milestones are. The price reaction runs ahead of them: none of the ZK coverage points to a token-economics change, and PYTH’s revenue-funded bid is small next to its volume. Both rose while leverage was still being flushed, so the test is whether they hold if Bitcoin keeps sliding. #Altcoin Season# #Ethereum #Macro Insights#
